Great news! Late on Friday I received a call from Polytec. They had decided to become involved with our project. So now all of the cupboard doors in the kitchens, bathrooms and office will be supplied by Polytec. This is a major part of the project as there are 49 doors, 66 sets of drawers and 24 panels involved in the construction. On Polytec’s advice we chose a Melamine finish in “New Antique White” with rolled edges which are better in rough & tough environments.

I did not know at the time but not only do Polytec make the doors and panels, but they make the machines that make the doors. They are on the cutting edge of kitchen door and panel technology. They have millions of dollars invested in state of the art machinery. They are also vertically integrated. They make the machines that make the doors and they also own the fleet of trucks that dispatch the doors to clients. A true Australian success story.
