Building Achievements

We have hit quite a few milestones this week. All of the LVL from Carter Holt Harvey has been installed and is ready to take flooring or decking. Dowell have delivered all bar one window to the site. John Bennett reckons that they look great. (The “ducks nuts” was the term he used.) We came to an arrangement with Boral Plaster where we can showcase their ImpactStop and SoundStop products.

Boral SoundStop Plasterboard

Plasterboard - SoundSTOP®
Produced in 10mm and 13mm thicknesses, Soundstop plasterboard was specifically developed for use in high-performance acoustic wall and ceiling systems not requiring fire-rating. SoundSTOP® plasterboard is utilised in QuiteZone®, CinemaZone®, PartiWALL® and other proprietary systems.

Plasterboard - ImpactSTOPTM
Recessed edge plasterboard with a fibreglass mesh providing increased impact resistance. Used in high traffic areas to minimise damage from incidental impact.

John has sourced the best supplier for the steel framing for the upper level. There is almost a tonne of framing required. It will hold the internal plasterboard and also the external Hebel Power Panel. It is produced in Canberra so the lead-time will not be that long.

Bob and Alan from Masterlifts contacted me during the week to let me know that the lift had been completed and was ready for when we needed it installed.

I have added photos from week 12’s work in the photo gallery or to go straight to the week click here.

So it looks like next week will see some really good progress.
