A “responsible” moment.

My parents retired to this beautiful seaside village some 20 years before, and had enjoyed a wonderful retirement until my mother became sick and died. Dad decided to move a little bit closer to town so he could walk to the shops and still lead an independent life. Desiree and I had been staying with Dad for a week over Christmas and had really started to mellow out from our high stress jobs in the city. Unfortunately our time had come to an end and we had to head back home.
On the drive back to Sydney my mind kept wandering back to the laid back lifestyle in Merimbula. Maybe Desiree and I should consider setting up things so that when the time came we could also sea-change to this place.
So began our quest to get a bit organized on the investment front.
